Portret jurist Herman van der Mijn

Description Dutch painter, went in 1712 to Düsseldorf as court painter for Johann Wilhelm van der Palts, in 1716 to Antwerp, Paris, Brussel, in 1722 to London where he lived with his family till 1737, came back to Holland but died in 1741 in London. He was a successful and sought after painter, portrayed Carolina Princes of Wales and stadholder Willem IV. His children Frans, Gerard, Andreas, Robert, Cornelia en George van der Mijn were also painters.
